Fellow Wildcat Faithful,
I had a great time in North Carolina, but that game was ugly to watch. There are plenty of areas for criticism and improvement. The defense kept us in the game, but they had a lot of help from dropped Duke passes. The offense was just out of synch from the start.
However, we won and we're 2-0. I didn't like how the game went, but I had a though yesterday while I was waiting for my flight - every good team has a bad game. You can look back at nearly every team in the 9+ win column and say, "they should have one less win because ???? should have beaten them." The only difference for our Cats' this year is that we survived the ugly game as opposed to losing it.
Don't worry, the sky is not falling. The team will learn from this early lesson and improve greatly the next two week. We always match up better in Big Ten play anyway. We're still going to start 4-0 and the offense will be clicking by the time we head to Iowa.
Victory & Honor,
Jim
