Walker had those satin covered purple footballs that the backs all carried
in practice to run drills. They were slicker than "snot" and I seem to
remember guys like McGee slapping at them almost any time a back or WR with
a football went by.

I asked McGee about that one time, he laughed and said that anyone with a
ball should expect to have someone take it away....something like that
anyway.

I'm sure the Satin covered footballs are somewhere in the equipment room....

RW was serious about
turnovers; remember he would bench a running back after a turnover for at
least one series. And I don't know what RW did in practice
