FW: [NU Sports] Cats at Indiana

Fitz said before the game that they had a really good week of preparation.
Good mental attitude by everyone, etc.

He also said that he considered Indiana a dangerous team and talked about
how hard it was to win a Big Ten game on the road.

My take ... turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. RW was serious about
turnovers; remember he would bench a running back after a turnover for at
least one series. And I don't know what RW did in practice ... but I would
expect Fitz to head in that direction, if he hasn't already. I believe TS
still went in on the next series after his turnovers this year.

CJ is something like 12-0 in games with one Int or less. And 3-10 in games
with 2 Ints or more. BTW, who is the QB coach and how long has he been
working with CJ?

And like most games the CATS play, one or two plays can make the difference
in the W/L column. This was one of those rare times when a close game (less
than 7 pts differential) was a L.

I suppose not making big turnover mistakes is more important than making big
heroic plays (like on kick-off returns - fumble MSU and fumble IN). Hard to
teach teenagers that I bet!

Go CATS!

I didn't see any news ahead of the game on how the practices went this
week.

If this loss was what the coaches predicted would be result of a poor
effort, I can understand how Fitz would be a little reserved on the
sidelines seeing what they predicted unfold.

I am a long time season ticket holder and have seen all the Home games
this year and have travelled to Iowa and Indiana for the Cat games. I am
also a real believer in Fitz, and think he has done a great job! One
observation in the Indiana game. Fitz is usually up and down the
sidelines, clapping, yelling and totally in with the players. At Indiana
he chose to be kind of un-involved a lot of the time, roamed up and down
by himself, and was very different in his stlye than I have seen before
this year. I couldn't figure it out. I know he wasn't, but he seemed
dis-interested. Maybe shocked too!
