I agree with all of it - damn shame NU can't take the Minnesota role -- but we would not "lose out" on a bowl, would we?

Wis-Ill-NU-Iowa at 6-6, well, Wis to Alamo, Ia to Inight, Ill to Champs Sports and NU to Motor City, right?

Not ideal but better than nothing. 

And even NU beats Ill. to be 7-5 to Illini's 6-6 NU would probably get stuck in Detroit anyway.
