Have to be careful with the facts.

46 may have been arrested, but as the article states the majority of the
charges were dropped.  I suspect if you go through the charges, you'll
find the majority of them have to do with drinking (DUI, underage, or
fights).

The larger issue is how the program responded when those kids were
arrested.  What has happened in the past at PSU is if they get arrested
they don't play.  If they get convicted, they are off the team.  If
that's still the case, then the program may have an issue with
recruiting, but they don't have an issue with institutional control.

The real question is whether or not these kids are going to school and
graduating.

The 2007 data suggests that they are doing fine.  PSU graduates 82% of
their male students overall and 81% of their male athletes and 76% of
their football players.
