How we play today will say a lot about the coaches and the team. This could be the game where we come together as a team and make a statement about what is possible the rest of the season. This could also be another frustrating game of coulda shoulda.

We clearly don't have to be perfect to win. Let's save that game for OSU.

CJ, sutton, McManis, and the receivers all have to take the next step in playing as a team and believing in each other. If they do, I think they will blow away the home court spread we currently enjoy.

Jeff

Our old nemesis Joe Tiller comes to town with a...what 8-2 record against
us? However, PU has been struggling. I'm worried that their last 2 losses has
been PSU and OSU. However, they lost to a so-so Oregon team at home, and
were whumped by a Notre Dame team that's no better or worse than we are.
Common sense says we win tomorrow, and the defense will allow FG's instead
of TD's. Painter has been a bust, and the ground game hasn't scared too
many people.
Master of the Obvious Dept: no way we can crawl into a 0-17 hole in the
1st Q. Providing we stay close early, we'll wear 'em down in the trenched and
take this game. I'm not real confident we'll win, but I think our players
will want this game more than Purdue; perhaps because we typically get spanked
by these guys. I say we win by a whisker; 24-23 on homecoming.

     GO CATS!!! Eric
