Michigan has COMPLETE cooperation from Ann Arbor and the state police.
* I-94 entrances/exits get reversed to encourage flow
* Streets in Ann Arbor to/from the stadium are wider than they would normally be and are made one-way/reversible on game day
* Pioneer High School has a larger than normal parking lot to maximize parking revenue
* The golf course on the other side of the stadium fully cooperates with parking and tailgating.

vs. Evanston
* No directional signage off of I-94
* Golf and Lake streets which are the 2 main east-west have no traffic flow improvements
* Green Bay which is the big north-south street has the worst design
* Central Street which is the easiest street to improve traffic flow has NOTHING. The most they do is keep the shuttle buses off central and some very, very poor police directioning.

Visiting every other Big Ten stadium besides PSU we have the worst parking and traffic flow with the smallest crowd to move, which is made even smaller by 2 nearby rail lines(El/Metra).

It comes down to Evanston with help from Skokie and Wilmette. The ticket tax should pay for friendly stoplights and lane configuration from I-94 to Dyche.

As for the thought of moving the stadium to the lakefill I can't image where you would park people and traffic would be even worse, because it is farther from the expressway and does not even have a road as "good as" Green Bay for north-south.

The Big House doesn't serve beer, the closest bars are several miles away in downtown Ann Arbor, and most students have to walk further than NU students to see a game. There is no public transportation to speak of. Everyone has to drive and find a place to park. Yet they continue to put 100K in the seats to see a team that could very well not win another game this year.
