That score by MSU at the end really hurt. It's a world of difference from going in down 10 (or less if we don't throw the pick late) after a disastrous start. We have our work cut out for us in the second half because it's going to be Ringer, Ringer, Ringer as Sparty pounds us with the lead.

That said, the defense didn't play too bad overall. They were put in some bad positions by the special teams and offense. And our O just looked timid - tepid blocking, hesistant passing ... really only finding rhythm on that one scoring drive.

NU has to come out and march down the field for a score. CJ needs to shake off the pics and the line needs to suck it up. The defense can only hold the Ringer ram off for so long, so the O needs to get going.
