You missed the big ones:

Chicago is a BAD, BAD, BAD college town and not just for NU:  The coverage of the shame and ill-whine-I are pathetic also.  I love Chicago, but the sportsfans are brain dead -- Bears/Cubs and occasional bandwagoning to other pro teams.

Evanston is a crappy place to party around a football game:  No bars near the stadium and not many even in the downtown area.  Evanstoners have no desire for a true college town atmosphere.  I live in Kildeer and if Watsamatta U moved in next door I would despise the crowds/noise and not wany any nearby bars.  Obviously NU was there first, but the same reason as people don't like the Cuby atmosphere yet buy in Wrigleyville.

Parking and traffic is absurd:  Evanston police are very lazy in regards to controlling traffic.  Cars should not be allowed on Central street unless they have a parking pass.  Lanes should be dedicated to football on Green Bay road.

If you want coverage, you have to invite coverage. NU has one of the 
best journalism programs in the world, but we don't use the kids to 
expand our media reach. I personally could see a Fall Quarter RTV course 
that essentially produced the coach's show. Yeah, its "trade school" 
stuff but our kids could easily do a show that rivaled some of the state 
schools.

All someone has to do is try...
