[NU Sports] On selling tickets....

A few reasons why we don't get attention....

1. No real Coach's Show - WGN sports is fine, but everyone else has a 
show on cable, not NU
2. No wrapup show on the BTN
3. No preseason hype show on the BTN - Zook has one, we don't
4. Attendance at media events is limited to a small number of reporters, 
only one or two internet guys allowed.
5. Tightly closed practices, no buzz around town.


If you want coverage, you have to invite coverage. NU has one of the 
best journalism programs in the world, but we don't use the kids to 
expand our media reach. I personally could see a Fall Quarter RTV course 
that essentially produced the coach's show. Yeah, its "trade school" 
stuff but our kids could easily do a show that rivaled some of the state 
schools.

All someone has to do is try...
