Actually I kind of like going to away games where our opponents are having homecoming.

The band show tends to be better and there is a lot of enthusiasm. It brings out the best in the fans, until the clock reads zero and they realize they lost to Northwestern?!?!

As for homecoming scheduling it goes from September 27th(@ Iowa) to November 1st(@ Minnesota) so extending into late November is not too much of a stretch.

Personally this year homecoming should be the 11th, 18th, or 25th of October. Anything else is too early or too late. I would guess every Big Ten team has at least one home game during that period so they have no excuses to go outside those dates.

I've said it a bunch of times....

NU plays more Homecoming games than any other team, save Rice, SMU, Vandy or Duke.

You just don't want to be the team invited as the visitor for homecoming unless you can whup up on the home team.

Personally, I'd start scheduling Indiana or Minny for homecoming - kind of a break from losing to the Wildcats...?
