[NU Sports] New ESPN bowl pojections

I also agree that we want to get into the most prestigious bowl
possible. It would be far better in my mind, for instance, to go to
the Rose Bowl and lose (even by several touchdowns), than to go to the
Motor City Bowl and win. A bowl win would be nice, but just going to
a prestigious bowl game does a lot to raise awareness of the team and
help recruiting. As a recruit, I'd rather know that I might play in
the Rose Bowl some day then go to the Motor City bowl. Plus, a heck
of a lot more people watch the big bowls then the smaller bowls.

However, for the mid-level bowls, I don't think there's much
difference in prestige. How many people see much difference in terms
of prestige between the Alamo, Champs, and Insight, for instance? At
that point, I think we want to get into the game where we have the
best chance to win, and perhaps a destination where fans will want to
go. This is why I would prefer to see us in the Champs versus the
Alamo.
