If we do get selected for the Outback Bowl, I just looked at SEC standings.? The Outback gets No. 3 SEC pick.? Since SEC is sending both Gators and Tide to the BCS games (One to Championship Game and one to another BCS bowl, maybe Sugar), and since Georgia had 3rd best record in SEC (at 9-3 overall, 6-2 in conference), they should go to Capital One (Citrus), notwithstanding today's out-of-conference rivalry loss at home to Ga. Tech.? Therefore, Ross Barnett (that old segregationist) be damned, NU would play--that's right--Ol' Miss, alma mater of the only Manning son who didn't beat NU in a bowl, Eli "Super Bowl" Hero--coached by former Razorbacks HC Houston Nutt, who has done a great job in his first season at U of Miss.?? Too bad that Vandy fell back later in the season to a 4-4 league mark, behind Ol' Miss, which was 8-4 and 5-3 in conference. We could have had the "SAT Bowl" with our Country Cousins.? Ol' Miss is a hot team and destroyed Miss. State today in their "Egg Bo
wl" game, driving Slyvester Creem right out of the HC position at Miss. State and into a resignation.
It should be quite a week until everything is settled on Dec. 7th.?? Let's hope for NU it is not a day that lives in infamy, and that we are not passed over again by certain bowl committees.

Yes noise state could get there and I suppose if SC loses to UCLA(and therefore
knocked out of the Rose bowl) conceivably they could beat out ohio state for the
last spot with identical records (and having beaten the bucks earlier)

Outback would be nice, but we can't assume Ohio State is in the BCS yet. Boise
State could still get the extra BCS spot, right?
