[NU Sports] BC-Mess: Texas doomed, PSU screwed?

Steve makes a pretty good case about PSU--the loss being a bad weather road 
loss on the last play of the game-

I love the BT, I love Joe Pa, but having watched many  USC games due my West 
Coast locale, and having watched PSU due to my BT interest, I just can't see 
considering them a better team than  SC.  SC seems to dominate when they need 
to  (And understand, I hate all LA teams too with the exception of John 
Wooden's Bruins!)

I have not seen many SEC nor Big 12  games this year  to have any kind of 
informed  opionion about Texas, OK, TT,or Florida-

But we have to realize that in the big games the BT seems to lose most of 
them--Whether it's Michigan getting trounced in The Rose Bowl by SC, when they 
thought they were #2, or The Bucks losing 2 years in a row in the title game 
(and they werent close )or their bad loss to SC earlier in the year--I have got 
to figure that at the top, the BT teams just aren't as good as the SEC or Big 
12 -(unless you want to make a case about the weather at the Bowls vs the usual 
cold weather in the Mid west)--Yes we are a better student-athlete 
conference, because we have some sort of academic standards, which the other 2 seem to 
lack.

With that said I just don't see PSU as  being deserving of #2--and am more 
inclined to look at  SC ,OK, TX, or FL
