ND in the Sun Bowl would be one of the great bowl crimes of the century but
the Big East will get what it deserves. The Big East includes ND in its
bowl package for all bowls but the BCS and there is no bowl hierarchy when
it comes to selecting teams. The Sun Bowl and Gator Bowl are the second
selection (first after the BCS) in two out of four years each in rotation
with the Big XII and if ND is selected, the Big East's second place team,
likely either Pitt or West Virginia falls to the Meinieke Car Care Bowl.
Thank You Mike Tranghese for selling out your football soul to the Irish.
