I had a few ideas on this (and I'm not really serious about any of them). The trophy's are supposed to be silly to outsiders and meaningful to the two teams, they don't have to have national significance. 

1) The Rail Splitter Trophy (I think Mike has already mentioned this). Oddly enough all we'd have to do is swap out a new handle on the Sweet Souix Tomahawk :-)

2) Lincoln's Lid - play for a giant stove pipe hat

3) The Hard Road Trophy - a 3' x 3' piece of asphalt with a pot hole in it, so remind everyone of the drive between Evanston and Champaign.

4) The Deep Dish - get a giant deep dish pizza pan and engrave the winners on it.
