[NU Sports] No more Sweet Sioux Tomahawk

Wow. This is disappointing. I'm personally not a fan of Native American mascots (we had this debate when I was in high school - the John Jay Indians - in New York). But, I fail to see how a Tomahawk (a weapon) could be construed as offensive. If anything it might cause a child attending the game to ask his/her parent what a tomahawk is, which could lead to them learning more about Native Americans. However, none of that matters. The NCAA is more or less a dictatorship.

Regards,
Bigger Jim

Maybe Peter Warner and Dennis Brandt won't comment on this but I sure will.  The PC police are rapidly destroying all past knowledge of this country it goes along with removing Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn from libraries because of references to Nigger Jim.  I was once criticized for writing about the Jap Navy in reference to World War II.
