[NU Sports] Scary article in the Sun-Times

Yes it is scary -let's beat the Illini and make sure the committees don't 
have a chance to boot us to Detroit 

Regarding our ranking (or lack thereof for the other 2 polls)

1. It's fine-should make NU hungier to prove something
2. Seems fair to me--while there were a few 7-3 trecords above us, I think 
our schedule has been pretty easy considering 4 weak non-con teams and no PSU--

Only OSU and MSU are strong teams thus far,and we lost to both --while Iowa 
and Minny are certainly good teams, they are not of ranked caliber 

Yes, the artcile points out  we could have been 10-1--then again we could 
have easily been 5-6 considering the wins vs Minny, Duke and Iowa were by the 
skin of our teeth (not to mention Michigan could have gone the other way as 
well)--I think we are fortunate to be 8-3 --and except for  the Indy loss, we have 
nothing to be upset about -

Think how PSU feels blowing the game to Iowa when they were driving for what 
should have been the go ahead score in the 4th Quarter--only  to get 
intercepted and allow Iowa  to drive for the final FG--It cost them a possible  shot at 
the title

Just abut every decent team in college loses a game  they just shouldn't 
have- (of course the teams that dont, tend to win national titles !)-
