So is it safe to say, NU would prefer to have Goophy beat Herk-a-Jerk, er, sorry, Minnesota beat Iowa next weekend?

WOULD THAT be sufficient to guarantee NU a New Years Day bowl game?  (I always forget where the "two-victory gap" rule comes into effect.)

I figure Iowa beating Minnesota means it'll be time to gas up the RVs.

I also figure Iowa WILL beat Minnesota, but I remain optimistic.
