Well, Davie and Willingham weren't alumni - ole' Charlie is.

Plus he was a very highly regarded NFL assistant when he took the N**** D***
gig. Much was made of his Super Bowl rings and his recruiting abilities. His
recruiting classes have been ranked near the top each year by both Scout and
Rivals (and Lemming for that matter).

IMHO, Charlie is on a much longer leash than previous N**** D*** coaches
because he has that diploma hanging on his wall somewhere, but if he doesn't
win, the recruiting will eventually fall off and some of his star recruits
will transfer to colleges back home. We've already seen another player show
up in Evanston by way of South Bend. Count on some more before the Weis era
of the Evil Empire ends.
