Well, I'm certain Michigan won't pull the plug after a year. And we'll see in a few years, but I can see Michigan rebounding much faster than the Irish. Rodriguez will win there, he's just completely overhauling a system and it will take some recruiting classes.

And while the falls of these two great programs is somewhat similar in how it started with a monumental upset at home (App State in '07 and NU in '95), at least Michigan bounced back last year to win a bowl for their outgoing coach (who like Lou won a national title).

Plus, Michigan doesn't seem like the place to hastily fire someone after a couple years. That's one of the more puzzling things about the Irish situation - they were so quick to turn on Davie and Willingham but seem to be following good ole' Charlie no matter what.

Personally, I hope the NU media mafia aren't successful and Weis stays in South Bend for a long time as they complete their journey to irrelevance.

GO CATS!!!

PS - Just imagine how poor their record would be if they played the schedule ND played in the 80s and 90s!
