I like to think that McCall and Kafka simply went with what the Gophers 
were giving us.  Both teams seemed to have the other's conventional 
tailback-based running game figured out.  Both starting RBs got hit (and 
usually taken down) in the backfield or at the line of scrimmage a 
*lot*.  That made sense for the Minny D since it would follow that we 
would try to rely on the ground game more, with not having our starting 
QB.  They just forgot that our second-string QB is a helluva runner himself.
