[NU Sports] Big Ten today ...

A guy who sits near me is an NU alum who is also a Michigan fan by
marriage. He was very firm (granted this was near the beginning of the
season, but Michigan had already lost two in the Big House) that the
Michigan faithful realize that Rodriguez doesn't have the personnel to
run the offense that he was hired to implement. He probably has two
years on that front. Where they are disappointed is the inconsistency
from the defense. They returned enough star power that they should be
doing much better than they are. I think they're suffering from some of
the things that NUs defenses used to suffer from: having to spend too
much time on the field too frequently because the offense can't move the
ball consistently and coughs it up too much.
