Fellow Wildcat Faithful,

Please indulge me while I embarrass my former NU roommate. Below is my
prediction (note the attention to detail on the defensive TD) and Steve Truog's
prediction.  :-)

Victory, Honor, & bragging rights,
Jim

Subject: [NU Sports] Minnesota Prediction

Fellow Wildcat Faithful,

I think we're going to see a defensive battle today. The Gophers have been
playing inspired football, but their offense is predictable. The Cats are going
to hit the field with a "play like you have nothing to lose" attitude.

Before the season started I predicted the Cats to go 8-4. That prediction
included losing @ Indiana and winning @ Minnesota. I'll stick by it. Besides,
don't we win games when CJ doesn't throw interceptions? He won't throw any
today.

I'm hoping to see some creativity from McCall today. Let Conteh run inside and
Kafka/Simmons use the option on the outside. I doubt we'll score much, but a TD
from the defense or special teams will put us over the top.

Northwestern:       17
Minnesota:           16

Victory & Honor,
Jim

And off the board …
Minnesota 45, NORTHWESTERN 24 – I wish I could pick the Cats here, but they lost
their focus at IU last week and, worse yet, lost their two offensive leaders in
Sutton and Bacher. Meanwhile, the Gophers see a path to an 11-1 miracle season
and have a whole new attitude and a whole new crowd of suddenly frenzied Gopher
fans to fill that forgettable dome in its final few games for a fairy tale
finish.
