Once again, NU failed to even make the BigTen playoffs. Yet, our coach will be around next year. I watches the game on Friday on the Big Ten Network. NU's pitcher was going great and NU led 4-2 but it w obvious that our pitcher was running out of gas. Our coach finally waddles out after the score was 8-4. The BTN color commentator was Milt Wilcox who pitched for the Detroit Tigers under "Captaon Hook" Anderson when they were winning World Series. He saw that our guy was running out of gas way before the debacle. Pathetic. We clearly need a new baseball coach, he has been around too long and has accomplished little to justify keeping him. Wilcox isn't delusional. As he pointed, Big Ten teams are at a disadvantage to teams in better climates because those teams' games don't get canceled out by weather like Big Ten teams do.
If no one cares about NU's baseball program, why bother with it?
