[NU Sports] Alamodome

I'm curious to see how the people who attended
regional finals in Detroit and Houston feel about the
new setup for the dome arenas (raised floor, center of
the field, etc.).

On TV, it looked pretty weird - especially the few
times you saw players rush to save an out of bounds
ball and then held your breath as they made the leap
down to actual floor level (I suppose Minny fans are
used to that with the Barn's raised floor).

Anyway, not sure if it improves sightlines and all -
guess the dome is the future, so maybe this will help.
When NU was in the AlamoDome, I remember thinking this
place might be better than most domes because of its
blocky build and how the Spurs played there awhile. I
know Indianapolis' new dome was planning on dropping
the floor for basketball to make for a better venue,
so that might be the best option.

In either case, it's hard to see anyone beating Indy
or San Antonio for the setup around the dome for Final
Four week - though Phoenix' new stadium and the
surrounding complex will be pretty nice as well when
we get a future Final Four (considering we're the only
dome west of San Antonio, you'd think the Final Four
would come west soon!).
