I wont get into a whole diatribe on baseball, except that it is the greatest 
game ever invented --but I think those who find it boring are caught up in the 
recent times of instant everything-and tend to have much shorter attention 
spans than those who love  the game as much as I

They dont have too many stories, movies,poems, etc romanticizing football and 
basketball--, but look how many they have for baseball-and it -the only major 
sport that the dimensions of the playing field are not standard and where it 
really matters if you are a lefty or righty ( I know an offense is geared 
differently for a lefty or righty QB--but minor details)

Having said all of that I , being a Red Sox fan, I  hate the Yankees , but 
have to have some spot somehwere in my heart  rooting for Joe --my toughest 
challenge this year
