We can look forward to another one or two Big ten win season next year since Bienen is protecting his Princeton buddy Carmody and doesn't want to fire him. The thought crossed my mind tht maybe one of the reasons Murphy left ws that he wasn't allowed to fire Carmody. The Chicago Sun column by Mariotti about NU basketball was pretty much on target. I suspect too that Bienen is going to have his hands full when the tort lawyers start coming after the Bear Stearns board of directors for all the fiascos at that firm even though he has resigned from the board.
