[NU Sports] on ESPN2

I agree that usually Mariotti is very dislikeable, but he happened to be
mostly on-target this time around.  He never said that NU should purposely
lower academic standards (as, he noted, Carmody hinted at some time ago),
but instead hire someone who can succeed with the available players.  I also
agree that the Princeton offense has most definitely outstayed its welcome
at NU and while it provided some nice upsets in the early years, it is being
beaten by everyone.  It's time for a change (in the positive direction).
(Of course I think Carmody is a stand-up guy and does a great job running a
clean program, so don't take that away from him - it's just that he can't
take the winning to the next level).
