[NU Sports] Moron-oddity

With all due respect to my friend, Mr. Weinbaum, "host,  shmost".   Every 
stinking school from East Podunk to West Nowhere gets  in to the group of 64 (65) 
some time.  It's disgraceful that in a sport  where getting two or three stud 
recruits (and some of these studs even know how  to crack a book, get good 
grades, and can score just fine on the SAT's or ACT's)  in a two or three-year 
period can put you in a position to be more than  competitive, we cannot even 
come close to a .500 record.  I have no more  patience for any more excuses 
with our Mens' Hoops program.  It is just  absurd that we cannot find a roundball 
"Gary Barnett" who will take us not to  Pasadena, but on the "Road To.....".  
 I remember asking Rick Taylor  at the NU Club of NY Holiday Party in 1995 
(the year we went to the Rose Bowl)  when we would make the NCAA's, and I am 
still waiting 12 1/2 years later for my  answer, with a new AD now taking the 
reins.
