[NU Sports] NCAA Football 2009

I agree that NU has a real opportunity this year. It could be a very
special season with a couple of dependencies.

1. Injury-free.
2. Michigan turmoil.
3. Ill running out of Juice.

I agree with the conservative postings that suggest that this is a
bowling year. I also agree that NU will likely find a way to lose one
of the first four games. Can't deny, however, that there is an
intuition which suggests that this team this year may have something
special for us.

For any gamers out there, I'm sure you have been disappointed by EA
Sports NCAA Football games the past few years. They have really taken a
step backward in their support of our beloved Wildcats by rendering a
generic stadium instead of Ryan Field. Well...it looks like they got it
right this year. Head over to http://www.easports.com/ncaa09/media.jsp
and take a look a the screen shots. If you click the down arrow on the
right navigation pane, the first image on the second set of photos shows
NU and Ryan Field. After boycotting the game for the past few years, it
looks like I might have to buy it this time.

...and speaking of the football team, I was just reviewing the 2008
schedule. Is it me just being optimistic, or do I see wins in eight of
the first nine games, with a possible record of 9-3 overall?

Syracuse W
at Duke W
SIU W
Ohio W
at Iowa W
MSU L
Purdue W
at IU W
at Minn W
at OSU L
at UM W?
UofI L

With an improved defense, Sutton at full speed, a maturing QB and solid
special teams, I think we have a real shot this year.

Thoughts?
