Just an update from the world of women's softball - looks like the #6 seed was a real slap in the face to second-ranked Arizona State ... the team that ended the Cats' bid for a third straight world series berth hasn't lost yet and took game 1 of the final series tonight against Texas A&M.

So one win for ASU in the next two games and at least NU can say they lost to the champs.

PS - For those who can't wait for fall, NU will be on the Big Ten Network a couple times in the next few days, with the 2007 win at MSU and the 2000 Michigan classic both airing next week.
