[NU Sports] The Burtons...

Thanks for the updates--looking forward to reading the story on the Burtons. 

One other bit of NU news: Pat Fitzgerald was the 7th inning stretch singer at the Cubs game yesterday. I missed most of his singing, but caught is on-air time with the TV broadcaster during the bottom half of the inning. 

Pat did a great job, and got a lot of air time thanks to a long half inning featuring a lot of Cubs offense. 

And in the "small world" department:

A couple friends were at the Cubs game, and took the train up to Evanston to meet my wife and I for dinner after the game. They ended up sitting next to Jerry Brown on the train, and had a good chat about NU football. Sounds like Jerry is excited about the season, and is especially glad to have a healthy Sutton back this year. 

Just as they were telling us the story about chatting with Brown, Pat and his family walked into the same restaurant for dinner.

I'm officially in "excited about NU footbal '08" mode now.
