Ron Sr was head of the Boston NU alumni assn for a long time--

I will never forget getting an invitation to attend an event at his home for 
alums and new freshman (I was on the list of the latter) --and  thinking I was 
just  going to meet a local football hero-, not sure why he was hosting-  At 
the time, I had no idea that he was an NU alum --

I saw  a dejected face on him after the Rose Bowl loss and just passed along 
my thanks to him for all he and his family had done for NU
