[NU Sports] Tiller on the way out at Purdue?

Back in the 70's [and it probably started in the 60's] there was what appeared
to be a concerted effort to marginalize athletics at NU.

It coincided with the removal of the iron gates on the campus, and the
continuing attempt to screw up the Greek system at NU, with all the "residential
colleges."

But NU eventually realized that having a decent team leads to the ability to hit
up the alumni for more money for other things. It didn't hurt that RW had the
Cats on a national stage during the recent endowment fundraising effort.

As J.R. would say, "its not personal, its just bidness."
