As you may remember, Walker hired most of his coordinators [or at least
announced them] just prior to signing day. While Fitz is not Walker, you might
expect him to operate in a similar manner, altho right now I'm sure Fitz is up
to his eyebrows in recruiting.
Anyway, I think the DC is already on the staff - unless Fitz has decided to wear
that hat himself.
Its finding McGee's replacement that will be trickier. The OC has to be a guy
who expects to be here for a while then leave since Fitz is almost a "coach for
life."
Most guys who are looking around for new jobs don't broadcast who they're
interviewing with - you almost have to sit in the anteroom of the Football
offices to see who drifts thru to see Fitz, altho these things sometimes take
place away from campus. I'm sure there are few guys on the top of the list and
that list will be hidden from view for a long time.
It's almost like the scene in "We Are Marshall" where the school president goes
through three pages of alums who are also coaches, and gets turned down by every
single one.
What is interesting to me is that none of the other assistants have been let go.
You would expect a new OC to bring at least one guy with him...
