It's all academic now, but I would think that someone with NBA experience and a NU alum on top of that would have a better chance of drawing higher quality BB players than someone without it. I just hope that the new AD has a good, up to date rolodex to find a Carmody replacement. I agree that being a fund raiser is a key part of the job, but part of the job is to also to have a string of possible replacements for coaches since one never knows who might leave or need to be replaced.
