Can't argue with that --But I have been follwoing NU b-ball for over 30 years
and we probably have gotten no more than a dozen , dozen and a half really
good recruits during that time--only one played pro for any length of time .
We have had several coaches during that time, all with a different angles on
why they could recruit better than the last one, but to no avail.
We have made the NIT a few times (each time by the skin of our teeth and
aided by an easy non-conf schedule)- and nothing else- In short we have been ,an
embarassment to the BT
I don't have an easy answer--obivously the academics is an issue, but
shouldn't be leaned on, since Duke and Stanford do quite well , Vandy generally
well--But obviously we have failed miserably at men's hoops--
I would love to hear suggestions that we haven't tried that might work to get
us to be respectable--
Harry
