[NU Sports] Worst basketball seasons ever?

I think you mean Oregon State - as UDub beat #5 UCLA
last weekend. They're still way at the bottom of the
Pac Ten, though, which plays a true round-robin
schedule and is loaded with teams this year.

And that's what I think is particularly disappointing
about NU this year - the Big Ten is in a big slump and
we're still winless. Sure, the top teams are decent
with Purdue as a surprise and the IU/MSU/Wisky trio
holding up well - especially against Texas.:) But in
the Pac 10, you could see any of the teams besides
Oregon State winning a game in the NCAA tourney. In
the Big Ten, we might not get more than six in the
NCAA and NIT combined. Ditto for the women - with the
coaching turnaround in recent years, the Big Ten is
reshuffling a bit and we're still on the bottom.

Not sure what the answer is. I like Carmody and he's a
good man - and I'm surprised his system didn't at
least create more havoc for opponents in the Big Ten -
but I think it's time to start over.
