Mizzou and NU also played in 1967 in the second game of the year.  The Ted 
Hendricks-led and number-one-ranked Miami Hurricanes came to Dyche to open 
the season and left town as 12 - 7 losers.  We were ranked number 10 for one 
week.  Missouri was the next game, but they prevailed 13 - 6.  After that, 
things went downhill for the Cats, including baseball-like 6 - 2 and 7 - 3 
losses to Ohio State and Michigan, respectively.  Somehow we managed to lose 
to Rice 50 - 6 and blow a lead to a Mike Phipps-Leroy Keyes Purdue team. 
Obviously, the offense was lacking that year.
