I was just reading over the criminal complaint:

Rod's going away for a very long time, I think. 

The only thing more appalling than the corruption is the incredible stupidity. Following Ryan, he had to know he would be under a microscope, which should have been enough to scare you straight. But that didn't stop him. 

And even with an investigation bubbling it's way through the ranks of his underlings, Rod was stupid enough to actively try to cash in on the Senate opening. What an idiot. (OK, innocent until proven guilty, but....)

Note to politicians: If you are based in the same town as US Attorney Peter Fitzgerald, you really should keep your nose clean, because it's not worth the fisk. Fitzgerald's like the second coming of Elliot Ness around here.
