[NU Sports] OU is stomping Mizzoooo

It doesn't matter who is #1 or #2, just so the teams get in the top 2 and
get a shot to play for the national title. Those teams will undoubtedly be
Florida and Oklahoma. Oklahoma has all but locked up the #1 spot, thanks a
lot to the computers - which gave it an edge over Texas last week.
Meanwhile, Florida, after beating the previous #1, will garner enough 1st
place votes themselves to secure #2. Finally, much like voters did in 2006
by bumping Florida over idle Michigan, the polls will ensure that the
national title game is not a rematch and keep Florida above Texas.
In terms of a "split national title" it will be difficult to see that
happening (Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas should all be listed above USC and
Penn State in the AP poll) - unless the AP voters conspire to "screw the
system," which is unlikely.
In any case, there looks to be some interesting bowl matchups -
Florida/Oklahoma in an offensive shootout, USC/Penn State in a Rose Bowl
matchup where the Big Ten may have a decent shot, OSU/Texas in a rubber
match of their series from 2005-2006, and, if NU does indeed got to the
Alamo - a potential matchup of ranked teams in a bowl, which would be one of
only a handful of such games.
