As we know you can never be certain so long as there is wiggle room for coaches vote. In 1979 (78 season) Ba ma  then # 2 beat the # 1 team which then allowed #3 USC to leap frog and be voted  #1 in one poll

Actually, last week, the BCS standings had Alabama #1, followed by Oklahoma, Texas and Florida at #4. Florida will move up, but maybe not to #1. Oklahoma has a good chance of being #1, and Texas is going to lobby hard to remain ahead of Florida.
