But all the BCS bowls - save the Rose Bowl - have that late start now.
Again, thanks BCS.

Blasphemy!:)
Complaint #24601 against the BCS is that it really took a bite out of that magical Bowl Day on January 1. THIS is the grand bowl tradition we used to have - you'd have a flurry of games in the morning, a midday feast of the Granddaddy and Fiesta and a couple of great prime time games in New Orleans and Miami. Even if one game was a blowout, you had other options.
Now we're stuck with Wake-Louisville or Hawaii-UGa as the only option. Yawn.
Personally, I'm much more likely to watch the later games on Bowl Day like the Boise State/OU classic than four days after Bowl Day when everyone is back at work and the Bowl Day feast is over.
As for the B(C)S, I'd agree that OSU is a lock. The Ball State loss tonight only helps their final BCS ranking in the computers and they'll bring a ton of fans (and with a healthy Wells and experienced Pryor, they really are one of the top tier teams and could give Texas a run for their money).
And as for the Iowa/NU controversy, seems like we're resigned to accept the Alamo. Even that article seemed to show NU's AD underselling the Cats (there were WAY more than 44,000 purple people in Pasadena!).
Obviously it would be nicer to be on January 1 - but I don't think there's a so-called easier bowl. In Tampa, LSU would have a tremendous advantage in raw talent and SC still has Spurrier and talent. In the Alamodome, Mizzou or OSU will have loads of offensive talent. I think we're a small underdog to any of those teams, but I also think that we can beat any of them (well, maybe LSU would be a bit tough:) ) ... especially since Fitz and his staff seem to have the Cats hungry for that bowl win where our opponent may be coming in a bit disappointed to be in the Alamo or Outback.
Let's get that win and then the respect will come from the bowls.
GO CATS!!!
