That's what I initially thought when I saw the announcement - that the games
would be on ABC under the ESPN title.  BUT after further investigation - the
deal specifically calls for the games to be on the ESPN cable network.  And
because of that, the separate ABC deal has a clause that kicks in for the
Rose Bowl allowing that game to be moved to cable on ESPN as well.  This
goes to show how those cable subscription fees add up and how far
cable/satellite have proliferated in America.
