[NU Sports] Tommy Tuberville Out at Auburn

Tommy Tuberville resigned today under pressure after a 5-7 season.  Here's his record at Auburn--their fans and expectations are obviously a lot different than ours--he beat 'Bama 6 years in a row and his 2004 team finished ranked No. 2 in the nation::

What utter insanity!  Admittedly, his team underperformed this year, albeit in a very tough conference.  But how do you push a guy out with a record like that?  And I may be naive here, but nothing leaps immediately to mind in terms of any major academic or behavioral scandals affecting his
 program.  Think that football is THE State religion in Alabama?!
