A regular week for the college picks – we’ll skip the MAC title game on Friday and take the classic in Philly instead to round out the slate. Picks due by kickoff SATURDAY.

Game  1: Army vs. Navy (@ Philadelphia, PA)
My Pick: MIDSHIPMEN … go with Navy here, but a smaller margin than expected.

Game  2: USC @ UCLA
My Pick: TROJANS … another Rose Bowl for SC, but this time they’ll have to face the Big Ten champ and not the runner up. Should be a heck of a game.

Game  3: Boston College vs. Virginia Tech (@ Tampa, FL)
My Pick: EAGLES … these teams meet for the fourth time in two years, and while any ACC game is a toss-up, I like BC’s odds here.

Game  4: Missouri vs. Oklahoma (@ Kansas City, MO)
My Pick: SOONERS … I’d love to see bad weather and an upset, but the undeserving Sooners seem to be on track to become the latest example in B(C)S bull.

Game  5: Alabama vs. Florida (@ Atlanta, GA)
My Pick: GATORS … I really want to pick the Tide here as it’s almost become too easy to go with Florida, but on the fast turf, I like Florida in a nail-biter
