Nice to see us win without having to sweat it out at the end. It should have been 42-3 or so, but for a first game, not too bad. And total agreement on the BS roughing call for Wooten. He left his feet before the ball left and did all he could to avoid the hit. The Cuse QB must be a theatre major.

Aside from the first drive, I thought the D did a really nice job today - good pressure, lots of 3-and-outs, good flow to the ball, etc. If we'd have wrapped up on the 3rd down stuff that became a TD, it'd have been darn near perfect. Nice special teams, too! Good coverage and field position all day.

The offense concerns me a bit because of failure to take advantage of field position and even close the game out (the D did that after the O failed to with the INT). The line play looked shaky at times and CJ didn't seem to spread the wealth around until the second half.

But I'm willing to chalk that up to the first game with the new OC - the second half seemed to be a better mix of play calling and we used Conteh along with Sutton more. When we click, we'll be tough to stop.

So good start - now we'll have to see if we can make that big step from week 1 to week 2 and exact revenge on the Dookies.
