Well, it's not quite "two thumbs up" yet, but Ebert's touchdown gets it halfway there.:)

Outside of the opening drive, I think the defense has done well -- aided by nice special teams field position -- to hold the Cuse to 3-and-outs and get some pressure while still stuffing the run up the gut.

As for the offense ... ugh ... we should be winning 24-3 right now if they could convert those third and shorts! CJ and the OC don't seem to be in sync yet and it's surprising how they're pushing Brewer as the main receiver despite having Peterman and Lane, who have proven their worth in past years. If Brewer wants the looks, he has to step up and make the catches.

The one plus side is how great it is to see Sutton back healthy - his "great escape" run on the scoring drive was a thing of beauty.

We're focusing too much on mixing up tempo and not on finding our offensive rhythm - use Conteh more to provide a 1-2 punch with Sutton and work all the receivers (something Bacher had been doing much better last year) instead of focusing on Brewer.

We're the better team - we just need to start clicking on offense and take charge in the third quarter.

So good to have football back!

GO CATS!!!

PS - We need to hire Pam Ward as our PR director. Nice job on selling NU's academic reputation!:)
