True about Ebert always being the better writer ... and about Siskel's replacement (you can't trade barbs when every other sentence out of your mouth is "I totally agree" or "you're so right" Roeper! :) ).

I'm just glad Roger did it instead of Telander, who still comes across as a pompous whiner most of the time. Plus, Ebert's just a better writer and packed a heck of a lot more punch to say what, as you said, everyone at the S-T seems to be saying (no parting gifts or goodbye cake it would seem!).

Interesting that on the heels of this, NBC had a story last night about how Portland (Maine) could become the largest city to lose its daily newspaper amid these tough times.

But ... FOOTBALL'S BACK, so what were we talking about again?:)

I can't wait to see this offense click and the new defense. This has the potential to be the best NU team in years and I'm cautiously optimistic!
